Bernice “BB” Alexander, 98,of Round Lake, IL passed away peacefully April 6, 2018 at the Winchester House of Libertyville, IL, She was born November 29, 1919 in Nashville, TN, to the union of Frank and Etheleen nee: Shelton Alexander. BB is survived by her daughters; Georgia Houston, Mary (Carlos Jr. “her favorite son”) Maravillas, 6 grandsons; Tommy (Allie) Houston, Kevin (Mazerati) Houston, and John Houston, Carlos Maravillas lll, Danny (Mai Moua) Maravillas, and Antonio Maravillas, great-granddaughter; Natalia Maravillas, and one angel on the way, sister; Etheleen (Jerry) Freeman, many beloved nieces, nephews, and many others that she considered family. She is proceeded in death by her parents, Frank and Etheleen Alexander, sisters; Inez (Frank) Jakelski, Frances (Leslie) Brown, Eva Hoffenkamp, Jane Scandura and brothers Frank Jr, Elbert, James (Ann) Alexander, Bernice’s greatest passions were children and animals. She made her livelihood by caring for many children through out the years, many of whom are still a part of her life. Her legacy will be that she was loved by everyone that knew and cherished her.

Visitation will be held 10:00 AM until time of services at Noon, Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at the Symonds Lakes Funeral Home 111 W. Belvidere Rd, Grayslake, IL 60030 Rev, Choice Harris, officiating, interment to follow at Ascension Cemetery with her six cherished grandsons as her pallbearers.
