Dominic J. Kivlehan, 89, US Army veteran, of Lindenhurst and formerly of Elk Grove Village, passed away September 5, 2018 at his home, surrounded by his family.
Dominic served in Korea from 1951 to 1952. He retired from Rand McNally as a lithographer. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed skeet shooting in his spare time.
He was born April 29, 1929 in Chicago and was the youngest of three sons born to the union of John Sr. and Elizabeth Kivlehan. He is survived by his dear sister-in-law Jo Kivlehan of Wadsworth, loving uncle of John P. (Teresa) Kivlehan of Mundelein, Susan (the late Ron) Sherritt of Eustis FL, Anna (Donald) Johnson of Effingham, Mary (Joseph) Shallcross of Stem NC, and Todd Kivlehan of Hawthorn Woods. He was the cherished great uncle of many, preceded in death by his parents John Sr. and Elizabeth Kivlehan, brothers: John (the late Rita) Kivlehan, and Bernard Kivlehan.
