Raymond D. Haga, 79, US Navy Veteran of Grayslake, IL, passed away January 5, 2018 at the Alden of Long Grove, He was born October 1, 1938 in Waurika, OK, to the union of A. D. Haga and Beryl Haga, Ray at one time was the owner and co-owner of 4 Amoco service stations in Waukegan, North Chicago, Lindenhurst and Grayslake, He also served in the United States Navy for 11 years during the Cuban Missile Crisis, and then went on to teach electronics at the Great Lakes Navel Station.
Ray is survived by his wife of 56 years Judith Ann Katherine Haga nee: Basham of Grayslake, IL and his daughter; Shelly Haga of Grayslake, IL, sisters and brother; Peggy (the late Alvin) Jones of Catoosa, OK, Richard (the late Sally) Haga of Eureka, KS, and Judy Haga of Salina, KS, and many nieces and nephews, preceded in death by his parents A. D. Haga and Beryl Haga, and his sisters; Anne (the late Ralph), and Glenda (the late Douglas).
Memorial gathering will be held 1:00 PM until time of memorial services at 2:30 PM Thursday, January 11, 2018, at the Symonds Lakes Funeral Home 111 W. Belvidere Rd. Grayslake, IL 60030, Rev.
