Charlene Raye D’Ambrosio, 80, of Lombard, IL, passed away on May 4, 2020, at Seasons Hospice in Naperville, IL. She was born on May 22, 1939, in Watseka, IL to the union of John and Evelyn Bennett. In her teen years, she met the love of her life Raymond and were married on June 20, 1959. This June they would have celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary. Charlene is survived by her husband Raymond, three children Kimberly (John) DiNuzzo of Roselle, IL, Craig (Sara) D’Ambrosio of Carol Stream, IL, and Timothy D’Ambrosio of Rolling Meadows, IL. She will be dearly missed by four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Her pride and joy in life were her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; she cherished her family more than anything. Charlene was very outgoing, she was the life of the party. Her joyous personality shined bright. She loved Christmas time and celebrations for all occasions. She enjoyed venturing to Las Vegas and playing on the slot machines. Her passion was her doll shop and miniatures. Her talent was making porcelain dolls that brought joy to many. We are sure that Elvis is serenading her now in Heaven. She will be greatly missed by everyone whom she touched.

Interment will be held on Friday, May 8, 2020, is private invitation-only (immediate family) at St John’s Catholic Cemetery L’Erable, IL. Please refrain from close contact with family, maintain social distancing, and wear facial coverings. The family does have the option to watch burial from their car.
