Felipe Genero Garcia, age 75 of Chicago, Illinois passed away on May 6, 2020 at Symphony Evanston Healthcare. He was born September 13, 1944 in Guatemala to the union of Mateo and Ana (Lopez) Garcia and he immigrated to the United States in 1980. He was the retired owner of G & P News Services in Chicago, a home delivery distribution center for the Chicago Tribune.
Survivors include his wife Patricia Ann nee Surita. Loving father of Manuel (Ana) Velgara of Silverdale, Washington, Christine (Jesus) Cruz of Park Ridge and Jean Mathey (Efrain Cebollero) of Grayslake. Fond grandfather of Athena Cruz, Daniel and Isaiah Rodriguez, Ciara, Alexis and Matthew Velgara, Mason and Miles Cebollero. Dear brother of Maria Luisa Lopez, Gonzalo Rigoberto Garcia Lopez (Olga Garcia) and Lorenzo Rolando Garcia Lopez.
Visitation Sunday, May 10, 2020 from 4 to 9 PM, Funeral Service 7 PM at Seguin & Symonds Funeral Home, 858 Sheridan Road, Highwood. Interment will be private on Monday, May 11, 2020 at Eden Memorial Park, Schiller Park, Illinois.
