embraced God’s comfort and entered into eternal rest on January 23, 2013. Born December 26, 1935 in Lake Cormorant, Mississippi he was the third youngest child born to the union of Jesse and Susannah (Rice) Wallace, Sr.
L.A. was an astute, ambitious, and innovative businessman. He founded and operated North Chicago Black Topping Company in the early 1960’s, and later the North Chicago Disposal Service.
He was always sharing historic moments, offer advice, share tales of yester-years, assist wherever he was needed, and socialize with his brothers and friends during his many morning breakfast stops. He possessed a certain kind of charisma that led others to follow him. He was a strong willed individual with a huge polarizing personality who loved his family.
He was a member of Jesus Name Apostolic Church.
