Scott Alan Sonken

Scott Alan Sonken, age 49 of Deerfield and Highwood passed away suddenly Sunday, February 25, 2024. He was born May 19, 1974 in Chicago, Illinois to the union of Kenneth and Kathleen (Creamer) Sonken. The family moved to Deerfield when Scott was two years old. He graduated from Deerfield High School, class of 1994. The family moved and resided in Highwood for 22 years. Scott worked for many years at the Mutual Ace Hardware in Highland Park and also the Home Depot in Deerfield. Scott was a sports fanatic, the Chicago Bulls with Michael Jordan. He was also a lover of music and horror movies. Scott also enjoyed long walks with his dogs Scooby and Muneco.

Beloved son of Kathleen L. Sonken. Dear brother of Kevin, Amy, Mark and Brian. Fond uncle of Francisco and Alejandro Ruiz, Amy, Ashley, Jazzlynn, Denis and Joshua Chavez, Maddie and Zoey Sonken. He is preceded in death by his father Kenneth Theodore Sonken.

Visitation Thursday, March 7, 2024 from 9:00 A.M. until time of funeral mass 10:00 A.M. at Christ Our Hope Parish, Immaculate Conception Church Campus , 770 Deerfield Road, Highland Park. Rev. Hernan Cuevas, celebrant. Interment will follow at Ascension Cemetery, 1920 Buckley Road, Libertyville, Illinois.
